Paula McMurtry

Paula has been practising family law almost exclusively for the past 18 years. She has seen firsthand the difficulties separated spouses and families face when navigating the Court system. It takes an emotional and financial toll. This is why Paula’s preferred resolution method is Collaborative Practice. In Collaborative Practice, the parties work together, with their collaboratively trained lawyers, to come to the best resolution for the separated spouses and their families. Each party’s goals and interests are discussed and addressed in a safe, private environment with no Court intervention.

One of the strongest benefits of Collaborative Practice is the team approach as family and financial professionals can provide support and advice to assist with parenting plans, counselling, communication as well as budgets, support and tax relief.

Paula and her staff pride themselves on reducing the stress of separation by listening to their clients and providing services which result in certainty and finality as they move forward.
