Melissa is passionate about collaborating with people to help solve conflicts and problems. Prior to being called to the Ontario Bar in 2016, she obtained training as a mediator and provided instruction to police officers about how to properly engage with high conflict domestic issues. As a trained mediator, she is able to help the parties define the specific issues they are disputing, make sure the discussion stays on track and support the parties so they can reach an agreement that benefits the family unit.

Melissa obtained her LLB degree from the University of Birmingham, UK, in 2012. She continued her education with the City University, London, UK, and completed a Masters of Laws in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution, graduating in 2013 with first class distinction.
